Chest/Backpacks for the River Fly Fisherman

Published by flyfishfanatic at 7:22 pm under Uncategorized

If you are a River FlyFisherman, there is one article i would recommend you buy. This back pack is maoe than just a back pack. I picked up one of these great backpacks 3 years ago and I don’t know what I would do without it when River Fly Fishing. The backpack has 2 main pockets in the front and one larger pocket in the back. It also has 2 build in lanyards for hanging your hemostats and clippers. The front most pocket opens and becomes a small work bench for you to work on without having to leave the river. You can tie on your fy and apply floatant and much more. The next pockets have enough storage to have your fly boxes and other small things like strike indicators, soft weight etc… I have also found that the larger chest/backpacks have enough room in the back pocket to store a small lunch and some much needed water.

If you plan on doing any sort of River Fly Fishing and do not have one I would go to your local store and take a close look at one.

A few I would Recommend are:

Fishpond Windwalker Chest Pack

William Joseph Exodus Pack

William Joseph Creel Chest Pack
