Flies, Art or practical??

Published by flyfishfanatic at 7:52 am under Fly Tying

There are many ways of tying flies. Many people just tie flies so that they don’t have to pay for them in a store. Others tie because they love doing it, yet others tie just for art.

Here are some examples of some of the best flies I have seen tied, they are not only practical, but in my opinion works of art.

The above are tied by “Mr Rainbow” of FlyBC

The above two photo’s are tied by “Fish Head” from FlyBC

The next few pictures areĀ  of flies that are Just “Works of Art”, I don’t know if I would want to use them.

The above three pictures are fromĀ  Graham Owen, you can check out more of his work on his website

I takes many years of Fly Tying to get the results that I have shown here, but it can be done. If you really like what you see, start tying and getting the hang of the basics, then move forward to the more artistic side of Fly Tying.
