Fraser Valley Boat & Sportsmans Show Report.

The annual Fraser Valley Boat & Sportsmans show was this weekend. I had a booth there to sell my Book, Classes, and Guided trips.

I had a Great time meeting and chatting with a ton of people. Unfortunetly, I was so busy in the booth that I had very little time to go shopping and had no time to take any pictures. I did have some time to take a few quick photo’s of my booth as we were setting up though.

The show was great for myself and my company (Rp3 Fishing Adventures) and was beyond my expectations. I did see many faces that I know from some of the forums that I am a part of like FlyBC & Fishing with Rod, along with many old friends and work acquaintances.

The show seemed to be a little under attended this year, but that may be due to the weather. Saturdays are usually the best day of the weekend, but once the sun came out around 3pm the attendance seemed to slow down significantly.

The pro fishing stage was directly behind my small booth, and there were some VERY good seminars this year. I had the pleasure of being able to listen in to a few of them with my highlights being Phil Rowley and Todd Oishi Tying some beautiful Flies.

I did end up making some great contacts at the show, and I look forward to working with many of them in the future.

I will Defiantly have a booth at the show next year, but I will get a much bigger booth as the one we had this year was the last one they had and it was very small (5×10)Great people, Great gear, and great times had by many.

Rick it was good to have seen you in person at the show. I have written a short overview and will write a special post about your new book and your company later.

I am glad that it went well for you. We enjoyed the exhibition too. The only disappointment for me is to see every year that the hunting section seems to get smaller and that it is hidden away in a corner where nobody can see it.

Last year my wife and I enjoyed making the acquaintance of Phil Rowley. My wife took lots of pictures of him and close ups of his art.

    Stay in touch.
