Being stealthy while fishing

Published by flyfishfanatic at 8:16 pm under Fishing, Fly Fishing, Fly Fishing methods

I was going to do a post on how important it was to be quite while out on the water. I feel that being quite and stealthy is very important in Fly fishing, and thought that I would write about it.

There is A blog called Fishing Fiesta, based out of the eastern part of the province of BC and I frequent it because of the Great content that The Author Michelle (Rocky mountain Girl) creates. She has done a post on the same subject so I thought I would put up a link on my blog to hers.

A few things to add to her post,

Make sure to be polite to other Fishermen, do not motor through an area where other Fishermen have set up and anchored while fishing in Stillwaters. Be careful once you have made it into an area to fish, don’t bang and smash things inside of your boat. The noise that is created inside of a boat will be louder in the water. The fish will not only hear the sound, but will also feel the pressure waves caused by the sound.

Just remember, be slow and quite when setting up and when entering the area you are going to fish, Still water of moving water alike.
